It plays a very important role in the production of insulin in your body and hence will have a good effect on your health. If you consume it on a regular basis it is very helpful in treating type 2 diabetes.

 

The two ways you can consume it is either by exposing yourself to direct sunlight for over 30 minutes but one thing to keep in mind is that the sunlight should be of the morning not between 12-4. The first sunlight or the one when the sun rises is considered to be the most effective one.

Bitter gourd:

Bitter gourd is rich in insulin polypeptide which helps in reducing hyperglycemia- a condition when you have higher diabetes. In this condition, your blood sugar level increases and you start gaining excessive weight. Bitter gourd has two important compounds known as Charatin and Momordicin. You can either use it as a vegetable and consume it once a week or can make its juice and have one small glass of it every day on an empty stomach. With its regular usage, you can see the effect on your body and blood sugar levels.
